I never imagined I would be writing something like this, especially during what was supposed to be a trip home to the United States for Christmas.

While traveling through Munich Ost Train Station in Germany, I collapsed after fainting due to severe dehydration and extreme lack of sleep from the nights leading up to my travel. I was alone, exhausted, and in need of medical help.

Instead of waking up in a hospital, I woke up in a police station.

I was forcibly detained without a clear explanation, handcuffed at the wrists and hands, and placed in a police holding cell for hours. At one point, a bag was placed over my head. While I was unconscious, I was thrown to the ground, and during this encounter, my front teeth were broken.

I was never given a real reason for why I was taken into custody instead of receiving medical care. The physical injuries, especially the damage to my teeth, have caused not only pain but significant emotional distress. Dental repair—especially for front teeth—is extremely expensive, and the costs are overwhelming.

This experience has been traumatic, unexpected, and financially devastating. I’m asking for help to cover:

• Emergency and follow-up dental treatment

• Medical expenses

• Costs related to missed travel and recovery
