Help Chrissy recover from the Boulder fires.

Donation protected
Hi, I'm fundraising for my dear friend Chrissy and her family. Today she and her sons had to flee from the Marshall Fire with just minutes of notice. Chrissy is a single mom, works at CSU as an adjunct professor. Their family lost everything. This woman would and has given the shirt off her back to help others, it's now our time to help her. Please give any amount that you can manage. Every bit helps. Thank you.

In her words: "So here is our story. This happened over the course of minutes. We had actually just left the house to go to a haircut appointment when this started, but we were only around the block and I could see it was getting bad, and the dogs were at home. So I turned around and three fire fighters tried to stop me but I drove through them to rescue my dogs. When I got back to the house, it was hell. Burning ash raining down, no oxygen. I opened my front door and screamed for the dogs. One was hiding and the other was frozen in fear. I told myself, count to five. If they don't come, leave the front door open and go! Then I screamed at them like a military general. Let's go!!!! They came   by then the whole community was trying to evacuate and traffic was preventing us from leaving. Knowing what was coming down that hill, I put my car up on the sidewalk, drove straight into the park and playground, and through it to get out of the neighborhood. Right through it, like a crazy person. Everyone else was frozen and parked, not knowing where to go, and we couldn't see past the hood of the car the smoke was so bad. I just leaned on my horn, and drove around everyone. I don't know how to describe how scary it was. I looked like the chimney sweep in Mary Poppins and we were all shaking as if we were having seizures, including the dogs. Dinner plate size pieces of ash, burning on the edges, were raining down, and the force of the heat and wind was incredible. We made it out with out lives, and I will be forever grateful for this. Hope everyone else is safe tonight.
