Chris Matzok has been a long-time member of our dog community, a past president of the Indian River Dog Training Club, and an active part of the agility community for many years. Chris has given so much to others through that community, and now Chris needs our help. After recently having hand surgery, Chris was at therapy when a tragic electrical fire started at home. While Chris is physically okay, the loss has been heartbreaking. Chris’s beloved Doberman and long-time birds did not survive, and the home is now not livable. To make this even more overwhelming, Chris did not have homeowners insurance.

 This fundraiser is to help Chris through the devastating days ahead and to provide some stability while trying to recover from such a sudden loss. Donations will help with temporary housing, immediate daily needs, and the first steps toward rebuilding life after the fire. Most of all, this is a way for friends, fellow dog lovers, and compassionate supporters to surround Chris with care during an incredibly painful time. We are deeply grateful for any support you can offer, whether that means donating or simply sharing this fundraiser to help Chris get through this difficult chapter.
