Help Chris Owens Finish His Degree

To those interested in my first-world problems:
So, I have been through a couple of rough patches in life. (As some of you may or may not know.) I am trying to step up and get things right and continue contributing to the world in the best ways that I can. Part of that process would be finishing my Bachelor's Degree which I abandoned just about 17 credit hours shy of for a full-time job opportunity several years ago. Since then, most of the chaos and learning the hard way part of my life erupted including losing said job and eventually defaulting on my original student loan.  I am in repayment now of the original loan but I found out, I am ineligible for the Federal Loan servicing until my current loan is entirely paid off which at the rate of payment which I can afford right now, will let me go back to school to finish my degree in roughly 500 years (no exaggeration)  It is my fault that I defaulted on this loan and I have found it difficult to make enough money without my degree in my field to pay it off fast enough or make enough money to live on. Therefore, the idea to finish my almost finished degree to get a better job and be in a better financial position.  The theatre department has graciously offered a $2,000 dollar scholarship if I am enrolled as a full time student (12 hours) and that would bring the total tuition for the two remaining semesters I have down to $6,052 exactly not including any required books or supplemental institution fees. I myself am saving to be able to contribute towards this goal. Realistically, I didn't think this would be possible given my resources at this time and probably not for a long time. The scholarship letter just recently came in, which gave me a little bit of hope that maybe I could take just a couple classes, but it is contingent upon being enrolled in at lesat 12 credit hours.  I had heard of GoFundMe and am not sure what the success rate is on here and if my situation was even really appropriate for it, but I figured I should check it out as I haven't got anything to lose really, other than a little pride by asking, but pride I have learned is not always an asset to value in all situations anyway.  For anyone who has read this far and cares, thank you for your consideration and I hope this message finds you in a blessed situation and that you are well!
