<div>On the morning of Tuesday, June 17, our dear friend Chris McElyea suffered a severe and unexpected seizure at home. Thankfully, his fiancée Gina Herrera was still there and able to help him when he collapsed and quickly called 911.

<div>What followed has been nothing short of a nightmare. Chris experienced a second seizure in the ER and doctors discovered the seizures were so intense that he had broken both of his arms and dislocated both shoulders. He is currently in the hospital recovering from one arm surgery, with another major surgery still pending for the other arm and shoulder. The pain is unbearable.

<div>As you can imagine, this has turned their world upside down. Chris is in immense pain and completely dependent on Gina and nurses for everything! She hasn’t left his side, acting as his full-time caregiver and advocate. At this point, Chris is unable to work and Gina is taking as much time off as possible, but the road to recovery is uncertain and long. Doctors are still trying to determine the underlying cause of the seizures.
