Help Chris get a new kayak

My name is Matthew MacKenzie and I’m the owner of River Rock Excursions (riverrockexcursions.com ). I have been an avid kayaker for years and love the kayaking community we have here in New England. I love to donate and give back to the community. Last week I read a post about a woman who had lost her kayak. This was terrible to see because I can’t image having the joy of kayaking taken away from anyone. The owner of the kayak is blind and kayaks in a tandem kayak with a guide to assist her. She told me that it’s one of the only activities shes still able to do with her disability and loves kayaking so much. The kayak was spotted a week ago partially submerged and floating off shore. Since then there have been no sightings of the kayak. I’m afraid that it may not turn up again now that so much time has gone by. I would love to have the kayaking community come together to replace her kayak. I have located one that is the same make and model. I’m here to ask for us all to consider donating to this cause. The kayak I found is $1100. It’s also 2 1/2-3 hours away. I have volunteered to drive to pick it up and deliver it to her. I’m looking to raise money for the new kayak and a little for gas. I would love to make this happen for her and I think it’s a great cause for us to rally around as a community.
