Help Chris Frye Rebuild After Tornado: Urgent Relief to help

Hi my name is Taylor Frye and I am fundraising for my wonderful brother, Christoper "Chris" Frye.

Dear friends, family, and kindhearted strangers, I am reaching out to you on behalf of my brother, Christopher Frye, who has recently faced a devastating tragedy, On Tuesday, May 7th, a tornado ripped through Portage, Michigan, leaving a path of destruction in it's wake. Chris and his 10 month old daughter were caught in the chaos, and their lives have been turned upside down.

The tornado destroyed Chris's entire home, leaving nothing salvageable. They lost everything- clothes, shoes, personal identification, keys, electronics, and all the essentials for daily living. Chris himself suffered major bruises and injuries, and his baby girl, our precious niece and granddaughter sustained a minor brain bleed and small spinal fracture. Their 4 day hospital stay was harrowing, and the road to recovery will be long, with at least 2 months of after care required for the spinal injury on the poor baby.

Currently, Chris is sleeping in his car, trying to piece his life back together. While the Red Cross has been contacted, the needs of the community are vast and their are thousands that have been impacted, so the the resources are stretched thin and housing assistance has not yet been offered. Thats why, I'm turning to you for help.

Your donations will go directly towards securing a new home for Chris and his baby, wherever and however that may be, replacing all items they have lost, covering medical expenses and after care, and providing for their basic needs as they rebuild their lives from scratch. Even the smallest contribution can make a significant difference in helping them get back on their feet, even simply sharing this go fund me will help in various ways.

Chris is a hardworking individual who has faced challenges before, including serving in the army to protect this country and coping with the tragic loss of our father who was struck as a pedestrian at his place of work by a moving vehicle, killing him on impact, this November will mark the 4 year anniversary of loosing our dad, Mark Frye. Chris deserves a chance to rebuild and create a safe, stable environment for him and his daughter.
