Help Chris During a Medical Emergency

My name is Amy Fleckenstein and I met Chris at the Pain Rehab Center at the Mayo Clinic in 2017. We have been close friends ever since. This is a fundraiser to help Chris and his son, Tyler, through a very difficult time.

Chris is an extraordinary man. He is kind, compassionate and he lights up a room with his beautiful smile and delightful sense of humor. He cares deeply about others, always putting other people before himself.




Chris has a deep love of sports and his passion is passing that along to kids, helping them grow and achieve excellence. It is because of this passion that Chris started his company, 5 Star Sports Academy, Inc., in 2004. This company offers high quality, low cost programs to kids. They offer sports camps, classes, and leagues and have helped thousands of kids develop skills and a love of sports. There is nothing Chris loves more than his son Tyler and being able to help young kids get to the next level of athletic excellence.

Most people who know Chris also know that he suffers from severe chronic pain. Knowing this makes it even more amazing that he is able to persevere through pain to be a dedicated father and teach and inspire so many young kids. 

Unfortunately, Chris's health situation has worsened dramatically. In the past several weeks, Chris has had severe symptoms that have had him in and out of the hospital. He is now unable to walk and is confined to a wheelchair. Chris is a single Dad and a small business owner. He is currently unable to live in his own home, and is staying with and being taken care of by family. The prognosis, at this point  does not look great. Chris remains hopeful and will continue to fight for answers and solutions. But in the meantime, he needs our help. Medical bills are piling up, he is unable to work to support himself and his son and the financial stress is becoming unbearable. 

There isn't a lot that friends and family can do to ease the physical pain or fix Chris's medical situation. But we CAN help ease the financial burden.
