After losing her father unexpectedly on November 23, 2019, Allana and her mom, Karen, are facing some tough times financially. Allana earned a full ride academic scholarship to Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. (She graduated from Boone High School in Orlando, FL with a 5.1 weighted GPA!) Unfortunately, she still faces a financial gap of almost $30,000 for medical insurance and academic expenses not covered by the scholarship.
Allana is currently a sophomore at Eckerd. She was the only freshman at Eckerd to enroll in Calculus 3, skipping the semester final because of her perfect test scores. She is majoring in Environmental Studies with minors in Coastal Management and Math.
She has a small savings, and she works part time, but without her dad, she and her mom cannot pay the nearly $1300 per month it takes to keep her at Eckerd. She has been taking a heavy class load each semester to try and shorten the time she goes to college to take some of the financial burden off her parents.
Allana has come so far and can cross the finish line with our support. Please help this young woman achieve her dreams so she can, as she says, “make a difference in the world.” She is entirely grateful for any and all support offered. Thank you
