Suicide Steals More Than Our Hearts

Donation protected
Update: 8.18.17:  Just received letter from mortgage company that a planned foreclosure will begin its process this September if a debt of $8,000 isn't satisfied by then.  As much as we loved our Ron, it appears he had kept many secrets from us.  No savings, no insurance, and no will,  has left us in a completely and totally vulnerable position.  I'm a hard working mother, but this is just beyond my reach.  To imagine that the children and I are to be homeless is beyond my worst nightmares.  I am their only protector now and it seems my hands are being tied behind my back financially and it's just killing me.  If you pray, please pray for us.  If you can help, please help.  I am so grateful to those who have reached out to help us.

A sudden & senseless tragedy has taken Ron from us.  He was my partner for over 18 years and father of Brooke & Ryan.   .... we were not prepared at all -- emotionally or financially.  I have taken a leave of absence from my employer, which is unpaid, to get through this time with my children and be here for them.

Ron was a hard-working man and a proud member of  The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local Union 254 out of NJ.  Times have been tough finanically for everyone and keeping a roof over our head and food on the table and some clothes on the kids' backs was our priority.   We have no savings or investments to fall back on.  No life insurance or pensions either ... he exhausted his pension fund just to keep us going during the winter months when work was exceptionally sparse.

It appears now, the mortgage company wants to foreclose on us  We need help  getting back on our feet and keeping the basic bills paid (taxes, utilities, food mortgage) at this time.  And the bills and mortgage company have no sympathy.

It would mean the world to me and the children to know there is help out there somewhere.  The reality of our situation is overwhelming and the loss of Ron is more than we can bear ....  I would be so grateful to just be able to know my children will suffer just a little less through this horrible time.

I thank all who can help us through this time.  I will be forever grateful and will do all that I can in the future to honor your help by helping others as I have been at this time.

We hope and pray for better times for ourselves and for everyone.  Times are just so hard and almost cruel to so many people these days.  We all need to stand together and help each other.  I truly feel that in my heart.
