Help Childhood Cancer Patients

Something you can't tell from this photo is that I had cancer. When I was 3 years old, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) . I completed treatment in 2.5 long years and today suffer from minimal side effects. Recently, the mental side effects have gotten worse and simple scents set me off. I grew up thinking "oh ALL, the best of the worse" and that I was lucky that's all it was. Which, I am so lucky that's what it was but, no child should have to look at their diagnoses and think "oh thank God it's only that". No child should ever have to face countless rounds of toxic fluid being flooded into their bodies or multiple procedures to save their lives. Children should be going to pre-school, having lemonade stands, and playing on the playground. NOT receiving chemotherapy, surgeries, and radiation.
     
      Even while going through that, children still find a way to say "wow I'm so lucky to be here today". Our goal is to raise money for not only research but also to make care packages/ buy presents for children who spend holiday's and birthday's in the hospital.  Our goal is to send in presents on December 24, 2018 for the children that will be inpatient for Christmas. Many families have to spend tons of hard earned money on treatments and trials that are not covered by insurance and don't have enough money to provide small novelties for their kids. Before passing this, please put yourself in this situation and think of the happiness you could bring to a child with a life-threatening illness. Even if you cannot donate educating others helps!
