Help Chief BRIGGS put out CANCER

Chief Michael Briggs has been a resident of Plantersville since 1989. Chief Briggs unselfishly served his community at Plantersville-Stoneham Volunteer Fire Department for the past 12 years as Assistant Chief and of those years the past five have been has Chief. He gives countless hours to the volunteer fire department with NO pay. Chief Briggs also works as Sergeant Jailer at Grimes County Jail for the past two years. Chief is always ready to help however he can. Volunteering is what he does best and loves to do.
After recently getting engaged, to Police officer Annie Chumley, Chief should be enjoying his time planning a wedding, but unfortunately, Chief got the news in January 2018 that he has Squamous Cell Carcinoma Stage 4-A
Chief will have to undergo 7 weeks of radiation treatment and 3 chemo treatments.  During this time, he will be missing a lot of work due to appointments to and from Houston Methodist, The Woodlands Hospital and other hospitals. The Financial burden is real and it’s a MAJOR obstacle. Out-of-pocket and travel expenses, Co-Insurance, Deductibles, missed time from work and prescription costs all add up. It’s an added stress that survivors and folks in treatment know all too well.
Mike Briggs needs your help!  Please donate what you can and share with all your friends and family. Your support and prayers make all the difference.  Help Chiefs Briggs Put out Cancer!

PLEASE GIVE BACK TO HIM FOR ALL THE COUNTLESS HOURS HE HAS UNSELFISHLY SERVED OUR COMMUNITY!
