Chester is my 13-week-old kitten. I found him near a gas station by my apartment, and he just let me scoop him up as if he knew he’d found a safe place. He had no collar or microchip, so we took him to Texas Litter Control for a checkup, then to RAWC to get his hip x-rayed. That’s when we discovered he had a broken hip and would need surgery to recover. Despite everything, Chester is healthy and active, and with proper treatment, he can return to his normal activities. Without surgery, he risks long-term pain and mobility issues, so getting him the right care is urgent. I am currently taking a pay cut to pursue training for a better job in the future. This decision will help me earn more in the long run, but it means my current income is lower and unexpected expenses like Chester’s surgery are difficult to manage. I’m committed to improving my financial situation, but right now, covering these medical costs on my own is not possible. That’s why I am reaching out for help to ensure Chester gets the care he needs and can recover fully. All funds raised will go directly toward Chester’s surgery and recovery.
