Help Cheltenham Robotics Team Build Its Robot!

The Cheltenham Robotics Team was founded in 2006 and has provided valuable STEM experiences to students at Cheltenham High School for years. Running a Robotics Team is not cheap! Entry fees for competitions alone are $6,000 a year and that is before the team even places the first bolt in its bot!

Like many clubs, the Cheltenham Robotics Team is still recovering from the challenges that COVID presented and the team currently does not have enough to fully fund the next robotic competition and support all of the team's needs. The team just finished competing at the First Tech Competition (FTC) and is back at it to build its next robot for the First Robotics Competition (FRC) in March.

The Friends of Cheltenham Robotics Club is asking the community for help! Financial support is critical to finishing this year's competition season successfully. This team works hard and deserves our support. The team meets regularly throughout the school year to prepare for the competition; during build season the students commit to 15 plus hours a week to envision, plan and then build robots fit for competition. The mentors are committed and dedicated to the cause- over half of the team's mentors do not even have students on the team! They are there because they understand what a valuable learning experience this is for the teens.

If you have benefited from the advanced technology in your everyday life, please support us! If you wish that you had an opportunity to do a program like this when you were a teen, please support us! The students that are part of the CHS Robotics Team are truly the future and deserve our support.
