<div>My name is Charlotte Sheffield, and I’m 12 years old. I’ve been dancing since I was 4, I started with ballet, but as I got older, I found out that I love all kinds of dance! I do jazz, tap, lyrical, acro, and hip hop!

<div>I’m part of the Intensive Training Program (ITP) at Protege Dance Project in Victoria. It’s really intense, but I love every minute of it! I get to compete all over Vancouver Island and on the mainland, which is so exciting!

<div>I just recieved the most exciting news ever—I’ve been selected to be part of Team Canada’s Hip Hop Compound team!!!!! We’re heading to Slovenia this October for the World Championships, and I can’t believe I get to represent my whole country!
</div>

<div>This is like a dream come true for me because I get to dance and show my love for hip hop on an international stage.
</div>
<div>But here’s the thing: all this awesome experience comes with a lot of costs, like championship fees, flights, and training sessions in Vancouver. And since we live on Vancouver Island, all this travel can get super expensive really fast.
