My name is Charlie. In October of 2024, my family and I had a fire that took our house. We did not have home insurance, so we took a pretty big hit. In addition to losing our house, we have had a really rough few months trying to get back on our feet and gain momentum in our lives moving forward. I'm setting up this fund to help with a few things.

First and foremost, with our house reduced to rubble, it is on us to get the cleanup done. We don't have the necessary machinery to do so, so we have to hire a company crew to help with that. But reaching beyond that, getting back on our feet is key to moving forward with our lives.

I have 2 kiddos and a fiancé who mean the world to me. And my #1 priority is trying to make their lives better. My pride has stopped me for months from asking for some help in getting where I would like to see us. Because I thought I could do it on my own within a reasonable time frame. I was wrong.

So here I am, trying to swallow the pride that's gotten in my way, in hopes that through the help of others, we can get back on track and not let this continue weighing on us.
