<div>I am writing this with a heavy and desperate heart. 
</div>
<div>I'm 62 years old and suffer from PTSD among many other health issues. I am reaching out for help during the most difficult chapter of my life. I'm very ill with congestive heart failure and recently had a heart attack and a light stroke but I survived. They had to put in 2 stents. 
</div>
<div>I need help for food and medical care.
</div>

<div>I worked for the State of Texas for 20 years helping elderly and disabled people get the care they need. I've been raising my granddaughter since she was 18 months old. She's 13 now. I've always loved helping people throughout my life that makes me feel good it hurts my heart that I'm no longer able to help with the care of my father, he's almost 90. I raised 3 children, all boys, on my own and right now I'm just trying to survive this desperate situation that I'm in.

<div>I suffered the unimaginable loss of my son. In deep grief, while visiting family members at the cemetery, I made a terrible decision and removed a bench from the property. Though I returned it, the State of Texas has sentenced me to 18 months in state prison, Wallace Pack in Navasota, Texas.

<div>This comes at a time when my health is extremely fragile; since being in prison I have survived a stroke, living with serious heart problems and other medical conditions. 
</div>

<div>I am reaching out for financial support for critical reasons:

<div>Basic Needs While Incarcerated: To provide funds for my commissary account. In prison, I need to purchase basic hygiene products, supplemental food, and over-the-counter items to manage my heart condition and health recovery, when are not always fully provided.

<div>The financial burden of this situation is horrific. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward these needs.
