Hello, my name is Charla and I’ve started this GoFundMe to help my brother, Cedric Priestly. He was recently diagnosed with lymphoma (still waiting on biopsy to know the exact kind and stage) and is currently in the hospital in hopes of starting treatments and overall tackling this disease that has stricken his body.

The last three months or so, he’s been going back and forth, with the doctors initially diagnosing him with a dental abscess, as only one side of his neck was slightly swollen. Fast forward two months, as you can see in the picture, lymph nodes on both sides of his neck are extremely swollen. It wasn’t until then he started coughing up blood, which led him back to the ER, where they ran tests and discovered a cyst in his throat. Since then, he has not been able to eat due to difficulty swallowing (going on almost 2 weeks now). He began having difficulty breathing, which led to us getting him to Jasper Memorial, and they immediately began talks of transferring him for further and better treatment. Additional tests were run, and several other masses were found within his body, which has led us here to Hermann Memorial in Houston. They have been proactive in trying to come up with the next plan of action for him.

He has a long journey ahead which will require frequent trips to and from the doctors and hospital. Any and all funds raised will go directly towards doctor/hospital visits and stays, medicines, transportation to and from, and any other expenses that come with this fight.
