Help Ce’Ana get a new insulin pump
Donation protected
Ce’Ana is a 13-year-old type 1 diabetic. Since being diagnosed at the age of eight, she has had several ICU and hospital stays to attempt to get her to the controlled stage of this illness.
Following up four day ICU stay in 2021 that included turning 11 in the hospital, she was finally able to get an approval from her insurance for a tandem to insulin pump. This pump has dramatically improved her quality of life ,so much so that she went from four ICU visits per year to only one in two years.
Unfortunately, on Friday, March 14, 2024, following the loss of the championship game for her seventh grade basketball team, she also lost her insulin pump. Insurance is not covering another pump until 2026. So a replacement will have to be paid out-of-pocket out of cost of $5200.
As her mother I will be taking on additional part-time jobs doing DoorDash and Instacart but anything can help. Thank you
