Help Caye Caulker fire victims rebuild their homes

Hi there. My name is Wendy Auxillou and I live on Caye Caulker in Belize.

I am working alongside a group of fellow villagers (Celina Jimenez, Dionne Greene, Valentin Marin, Joshua Marin) to assist the victims of a terrible tragedy that occurred last night.

Last night at 2:00 a.m. fire destroyed three homes in the Bahia Puesta del Sol subdivision which left four families or a total of 13 persons homeless and penniless.

Six of the victims are children ranging in age from 9 months to 11 years old.

They have lost everything!

There are people and organizations working locally to assist them with food, temporary shelter, and emergency items, and we are grateful to all of them.

With this fundraiser, however, we hope to assist the affected families with the rebuilding of their homes. A home is so important for stability, security and peace of mind, especially for the families with small children who are scheduled to begin school very shortly.

To that end, we are seeking donations to purchase building materials and pay construction costs. Our goal is US$20,000.
