Hi, my name is Catalina Faith Williams, and I’m raising funds to preserve and protect the home of my late uncle, Benjamin Williams, who passed away without a will in December. 

I’ve been legally appointed as the personal representative of his estate by the Wayne County Probate Court and have taken full responsibility for the property in Detroit, MI. I’ve transferred all utilities into my name, moved in, and have started paying on the mortgage. I’ve been working with the mortgage company to assume the loan and save the house — not to sell it.

The mortgage is currently in forbearance through August 2025, but in order to fully assume it and keep it out of foreclosure, I need to bring the loan current. The delinquent amount is approximately $4,000, and I have until the end of August to catch it up before the home goes into foreclosure.

I am also paying rent on a second property until it sells, while working full-time and handling probate duties for my uncle’s estate. Despite my best efforts, I can’t do it alone.

I’m asking for your help to preserve and keep our family home from being lost. Every dollar helps bring me one step closer to securing this home — not just for me, but for my family’s future.
