Help Cassandra Compete At The World Championships
Rising Free-Diving Canadian athlete, Cassandra Cooper, needs your support to get her to the invitational international 2021 World Championships in Limassol, Cyprus for September 20th. Ranking second in Canada, Kelowna born and raised, Cassandra is asking for community support, so she can actualize her dreams of being a world class athlete in this elite sport.

Cassandra Cooper is a 20 year old freediving Competitor and Instructor born in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.
Cassandra has excelled in her first year as an athlete. During her first cycle of competition training and competing, Cassandra competed in the 2021 Freediving World Cup and now holds second place CWTB (Constant Weight Bi Fins) in Canada (67 meter depth). In the Dynamic disciplines, she holds the DYTB (Dynamic Bi Fins) national record at 156m (511ft). She holds second place in static with a breath hold time of 6'18". Cassandra is also a certified Molchanovs Freediving Instructor and AIDA Assistant Instructor.
This Fall, the 2021 AIDA Individual Depth World Championship will take place in Cyprus, Limassol, a well known freediving destination location on the Southern coast of Greece. This championship is regarded as one of the greatest annual events in the freediving world, which has been carried out for the last 20+ years in different locations, worldwide. Participation of more than 150 athletes from all around the world is expected as well as 250 individuals who accompany the athletes - from coaches to competition judges, auxiliary personnel to the audience of enthusiasts. The athletes will be competing in four depth disciplines during the World Championships.
Cassandra has been selected for Team Canada as one of four professional athletes to represent the nation at this event. This event attracts international attention and provides Cassandra the opportunity to gain recognition as an internationally recognized freediver and compete for a higher ranking.
Presently, further financial support and partnership is required in order for her to attend this competition.
The costs associated with this event include airfare to and from the event, accommodations, and living expenses total $5050 CAN. With your support, she would be able to not only represent her country and gain competition experience, but also continue to work toward becoming a professional freediving athlete!
