Caroline and her husband Moses live in Soroti, Uganda, where they raise seven children. Despite their unwavering love and dedication, they face extraordinary challenges.

In 2008, while pregnant with their first-born daughter, Caroline was diagnosed with serious blood clots in her legs. This condition requires costly monthly medication, placing enormous strain on the family’s already limited resources. Moses works in construction, building homes when jobs are available, but his income often falls short of covering food, school tuition, and medical expenses.

In Uganda, education is often the only path to long-term opportunity. Yet with their modest means, Caroline and Moses struggle to keep their children enrolled in school. Their greatest hope is for each child to receive an education—so they might one day secure jobs, uplift their household, and break the cycle of poverty.

In Uganda, education is not truly free—families must pay tuition, even at public schools, along with costs for uniforms, supplies, and meals. For families like Caroline’s, these expenses are overwhelming and often impossible to meet.
