<div>Caroline came into our lives at the perfect time. Our pug, Charles, was feeling lonely with my wife and me both working and attending school. We wanted to find him a companion and ourselves a new baby to love. I came across Caroline’s picture online when searching rescues, and she stole my heart the moment I saw her. We brought Charles along with us to the rescue soon after to see how they would bond, and they were like butter on toast. They have been inseparable since, and my wife and I have fallen completely in love with our baby girl.

<div>After 7 1/2 years in our care, Caroline’s behavior started changing, and we spent months trying to understand the cause. Along the way, a torn ACL, arthritis, and a UTI slowed our progress in finding the true cause of her issues. Finally, the answer came from a neurologist who informed us that <strong>Caroline had a large, inoperable growth on the pituitary gland in her brain</strong>. We were crushed.

<div>Caroline is the glue that binds our little family. Before her rescue, she lived in horrible conditions, which have led to lifelong health issues. Despite this, she remains as sweet as can be. She is our constant reminder that things really do get better and that everyone has the capacity to love and be loved no matter what. We don’t really know how to imagine a life without her and hope we won’t have to.

<div><strong>Caroline will require radiation treatment to shrink the tumor in her brain and extend her life for as many years as possible.</strong> The cost for this treatment on top of all her other medical costs is significant, and any help easing that burden on us would be so appreciated.
