<div>My name is Jean Sydney. I'm one of Carol A. Davis's daughters. The other one is Sherri Davis. We are trying to raise money to help our mother. She is 87 years old and is a great-grandmother of 5 generations, which is very rare. She has been through a lot. She's lived through the blackout during the war. She had 7 sisters and brothers. She is the last of her family. She has several nieces and nephews, lots of cousins, and great cousins. She has raised a daughter with a disability all by herself. She was a nurse for 36 years and had to retire early because of cancer. She beat that cancer, but it took one of her kidneys, so she lived with one for 40 or more years. Then she had to have a colonoscopy, which she lives with a bag. She beat that as well. <strong>Now she just got informed she has lung cancer in one lung, but they think she has cancer in both lungs. She can't have chemo; she is too old.</strong> She has already had 3 CAT scans and a PET scan as well. She is going to have a biopsy to see what type of cancer she has so they know how to treat her. Carol's oldest daughter takes care of her and her other daughter when she can. She takes her mother to appointments, etc. <strong>We will keep everyone informed of Carol's progress as we go along. It is very hard; finances are going downhill fast, so we are asking for help.</strong>
