We are raising funds for long-time community members, Carmen and Zeus, to travel back to Akron, Ohio to visit Carmen's elderly father. In May, Carmen saved over $500 to purchase bus tickets to travel back to Ohio. She walked into the Circle K in Bisbee and purchased a pre-paid debit card to use to purchase the greyhound tickets online. Something went wrong in the transaction, and Carmen walked away with a debit card that had no funds on it. We have worked with Circle K and the Bisbee Police Department, and it's still unclear why the funds did not end up on the card. But regardless, after all of Carmen's hard work saving for this trip, all of the money was lost in one faulty transaction. Discouraged doesn't even begin to explain how we all feel, especially Carmen.

I'm asking you today to please donate so that we can purchase round trip tickets for Carmen and Zeus. The round-trip tickets cost $523 (see photo attached) and I've tacked on a few hundred more dollars to this fundraiser so that Carmen and Zeus have extra funds for meals and miscellaneous travel expenses on their trip.
