HELP CARLY WATERS & 2 KIDS RECOVER AFTER PALISADES FIRE LOSS

With a heavy heart I am here to ask for help for my dear friend Carly Waters and her two incredible kids, Hutton (11) and Elle (6). As many of you know, the Pacific Palisades & more LA fires are still active and causing complete devastation. Carly’s family has lost absolutely everything.

Carly is a single mom who has built her entire life around her kids and her Pacific Palisades community. She’s an amazing interior designer and has spent over a decade helping others create beautiful homes in the Palisades—including her own. Her home was her personal restoration project, a labor of love that she and her family poured everything into. They had been renting while getting ready to sell the house, hoping to create a better future for her kids. Now, it’s gone.

To make things even harder, the fires also destroyed her kids’ father’s home, as well as Carly’s design office where she had taken huge risks to grow her business, and Elle’s elementary school. In one night, everything they relied on for stability and comfort disappeared.

Carly and the kids are starting over from scratch—they need everything from socks and shoes, to school supplies and water bottles, from tooth brushes to loveys and stuffed animals. Literally everything is gone. If you know Carly, you know how strong and selfless she is. She’s always the first to show up for others, she is the most energetic and optimistic friend, the kind of person who brings light and love to everyone she meets. Now she needs us to show up for her.

This GoFundMe is to help Carly and her kids get back on their feet. They need immediate support for basics like clothing, food, as the loss they’ve experienced from this fire are immense. Anything you can give—whether it’s $5 or $500—will make a huge difference for them to recover.
