Help Carlos Defeat Cancer!

Hey, friends! My name is Brandon Clements and Carlos Blanco is one of my best friends on the planet. If you know Carlos or are lucky enough to call him your friend, you know that he is the single most generous person you'll ever meet. He spends as much of his personal energy as humanly possible making sure that not only his friends are taken care of, but his students (past and present). I've seen dozens upon dozens of instances where Carlos has raised money, gathered clothes and food, and even straight up taken the clothes off of his back for others. He simply radiates kindness and is an amazing human being and deserves all of the good in the world.

Now it is time for US to help HIM. Carlos has been fighting cancer for a little over a year now. In what should hopefully be his final push as he continues to defeat this awful disease, he needs our help!

I'll keep this short as I know anyone reading this knows just how big of a heart Carlos has and I'm confident with our help, we can make assist in making this fight as swift and comfortable for Carlos as possible. Let's go, friends!

A message from Carlos:

Hi everyone! Carlos here. Thank you for your support. My HS students created a GFM campaign for me, but were being harassed by a former coworker of mine. I did not want them to get in trouble so I closed it up.

I am at the tail end of my treatment. THE END!! It’s been a wild ride. From colonoscopies to endoscopies to chemotherapy to emergency surgery colostomies bag—trying to survive has been quite the mission. Colorectal cancer is no joke, I’m in a lot of pain & I can’t really eat good food anymore. I miss my old life. This entire ordeal has been a nightmare, a very expensive one. The worst part is seeing my family suffer: choosing between food or medication, having to sacrifice so much for me, I hate it.

But I’m not here to complain: in fact, I’m doing my best to stay optimistic. Thank you for the love and kindness you have shown me through this dark night. While it has been the most difficult year of my life, I have truly learned the value of friendship and compassion.

As I said, this is the final phase of my treatment. However if I cannot make a certain deadline, my treatment is delayed. That’s what I’m trying to accomplish here. I need your help.
