Help Carlie save her home

Hi!

I am setting this up in the hope that we may just help my lovely friend Carlie in her hour of need. At the end of June, our little Town of Chard experienced freak flash flooding, which catastrophically destroyed the downstairs of Carlie's House, which in turn, makes the whole property inhabitable.

She was insured so started the process of claiming and the beginnings of stripping her home ready for the repair work, but was dealt another huge blow recently by her insurance company, who are trying to come up with ridiculous reasons as to why their cover doesn't stand, to escape paying out for anything. In the meantime, carlie and her 2 beautiful young boys are squashed into a friends home, while her house stands empty with no sign of when, if, or how things may change.

Carlie is a wonderful single mum of 2 little boys, this was her first lone home and she had only lived there for 6 months. With finances tight, she had been working hard day and night to try and make the new house a home, and had just felt like she had started making progress when the flood hit. She is obviously still paying her mortgage etc on her home, so can't rent anywhere, and now is stuck with how to move life forward from here. She easily has several months of remedial works ahead of her before they can return home (the insurance company had expected about 8 months) so desperately needs something to start ASAP. However, with the insurance company refusing to pay out, she needs some kind of finances to pay for the works to be done.

Anyone that knows Carlie will tell you she is the hardest working, most loyal and kind hearted person you could ever meet. Before her whole world came crashing down around her, Carlie was always helping someone; she has taken people into her home, bought appliances and food and anything for people when they've needed it, and been the first to roll her sleeves up to help anyone who's ever needed a hand; and she never asks for anything in return.

So this is my call for anyone that can help, for us to pull together and get her back on her feet. Please, I know that anything you can bring yourself to donate, would be so gratefully received. If you are not in a place where a financial donation is something you can do right now, no problem, even a share on social media helps and if anyone feels called to offer up their time or services, please send a message... she will need tradespeople of all types and any offer no matter how small could come together to be part of a bigger picture of what she needs right now.
