Captain is an 8-week-old kitten who has already faced more challenges than most pets do in a lifetime. After being separated from his mom, he was found stuck in a car engine, which left him with severe injuries to his leg. I brought Captain home when he was just 7 weeks old, and since then, I’ve been doing everything I can to give him the care and love he deserves.

Right now, Captain’s movement is very limited as we wait for him to reach 2 pounds so he can safely undergo surgery to amputate his injured leg. He has to visit the vet every three days to have his bandage replaced and his wounds cared for, which is a lot for such a young kitten. This surgery is essential to free him from the pain of his injuries and protect him from the risk of infection. Despite his struggles, Captain’s spirit remains strong, and he’s shown so much resilience in the face of adversity.
