Help The Candy Pushers grow Candy Depot's legacy!

One day I walked into a little candy shop in Hillcrest to buy my wife a box of truffles and little did I know this was about to change my life. The owner said I had a candy shop personality and asked if I needed a job. Shortly after starting at Candy Depot I realized this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I went home and told my wife I want to own a candy business and she was absolutely on board! We discussed it and decided we wanted a mobile candy business. We started working to pay off debt and building a business plan to make our dream of being The Candy Pushers a reality. We knew no matter how long it took we were going to make it, then Covid 19 happened and we were without jobs. Without gatherings, festivals, and food truck events it was going to be just a bit longer for our dream to come to fruition.
On June 26th, 2020 the owners of Candy Depot where I had previously worked, called me out of the blue. They asked if we wanted to take over Candy Depot, it was the middle of a pandemic but we couldn't say no...our DREAM just KNOCKED on OUR DOOR!! We knew this looked a bit different than we imagined but we were excited to take on this adventure! We officially took over on July 1, 2020 with nothing but our hopes and dreams.
We have very quickly realized that we are outgrowing our 602 sq ft space, even though Candy Depot has been in the same spot for 26 years we are ready take our little candy shop to the next level and move into a larger space. We are going to need to do a bit of demolition and construction and we'd also like to get super fabulous signage for the front of the space! We want to become a destination spot where you can come get some candy, an Ice cream float and sing a little candy karaoke. A place where people can hang out and listen to some spoken word and enjoy a sweet treat. We want to offer a unique space for kids of all ages to enjoy! The Candy Pushers of Candy Depot want to embrace our community and bring the sweets to the streets of Hillcrest in a new space where we can grow and continue to thrive!
