Help Canadian Team get to Newport

Please support Inessa and Kristina as they represent Canada at the Women's Snipe World Championship  this August in Newport, USA.

Being able to compete against, and learn from talented female athletes that come from all over the world is an amazing opportunity for the team.  The possibility to be involved directly with other females sailors in a sport that is normally male dominated is a once in a life time opportunity for this Canadian team.


About the Team
Both girls are from Ontario, Canada. They have been training in preparation for this competition for the past two years. Both are extremely passionate about sailing and are excited to represent their country!

Inessa, age 21, has been sailing since she was ten years old, and has competed in many high-level sailing competitions including the Pan Am trials where she placed 8th in all of Canada. She was a sailing instructor for three years and has won medals for sailing, including top Junior Skipper at the Canadians championship last year. She has competed in the Snipe North Americans Championship, Snipe Canadians Championship, Snipe Americans Championship, Snipe Midwinters, and the Briody Regatta, to name a few! 

Kristina, age 15, has been sailing since she was seven years old and currently works as an instructor at the same camp where she started sailing! She is on the lake for twelve hours a day, where she is either training for sailing, teaching others to sail, or rowing. She loves sailing and is very competitive. 

What the funds are needed for:
The funds will be used for the team and their two coaches to pay for travel expenses, food, accommodations, the Regatta registration fee, and equipment needed for the Regatta (such as life jackets and other sailing attire).
