We couldn't take anything with us when we evacuated and we are trying to make do on very limited financial resources. It has been a very challenging time, especially for my six-year- old daughter, who also lost her school to the fire.

We got word that our home may be the only home on the block that survived, but we don't know the extent of the damage inside our out (or the state of it belongings) or when/if we will be able to get back in. There is no power or gas and it's not safe for us to live there. For the immediate future, we're looking for somewhere to stay that is safe and can accommodate our dog.
