Hello my name is Hailey chapman my dog Camilla just turned 1 January 21st she has battled what’s called "Happy tail" witch in Great Danes refers to a condition called "happy tail syndrome" where the dog wags its tail so vigorously that it repeatedly hits objects like walls or furniture, causing injuries to the tip of the tail due to its large size and powerful wag. On February 7 Camilla lost her battle to happy tail and got her amputated as of last night Feb 26th it was healed almost completly until she stared chewing her tail when she was left alone witch is honestly never but to get by siblings from school (around the corner) or when I work for my overnights. Last night she managed to chew through her bandage and actually chew the healed part of her tail completly off to where bone is visible the vet that did it is completly booked and actually not even open today. I’m separate looking around to get her in and I was quoted 1000 dollars for surgery stabilization etc at Cornell they said the price may exceed if more is wrong. Last time I use this vet I actually walked out spending over 10k in bills and I’m deathly afraid to go threw that again I’d do anything for my animals and everyone that knows me personally and from social media knows that. I’m asking for help as I’m literally one person taking on a boat load of things in my life that no person ever should do please if you even have a dollar I’d appreciate that please share this I’m desperate at this moment…
