<div>I'm making this campaign to help my cousin, Camila, and her mother, Adriana. They live in Guadalajara, Mexico, and have been unable to work or study normally for the last 2 years, due to Camila suffering from debilitating medical symptoms that cause her great physical pain and restriction of movement, and requiring constant care.

<div>After seeing many different doctors, including top neurologists in Mexico City who took an interest in the case, and doing every possible test, Camila has been diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder.

<div>Through a lot of research, the family has found a neurologist in Spain who specializes in studying and treating patients with this diagnose. With help from family and friends, Adriana was able to pay for a virtual consultation, and the doctor is recommending in-person treatment. I am raising money to send Camila to Spain to be treated by this doctor for a month and a half.

<div>In addition to the cost of the treatment, Camila and Adriana need money for air travel to Madrid and back to Guadalajara, lodging close to the clinic in Madrid, meals, local transportation and all basic needs while there.

<div>Camila's symptoms include violent spasms and involuntary movements of her limbs that can last for hours, leaving her exhausted, weak, and in pain, often with loss of consciousness, temporary amnesia. Experimental treatments have been tried to no avail, and at this point the doctors in Mexico are giving us no more options, except pain medication, which provides relief but also further impairs Camila's ability to live her normal life.

Adriana is a professional dancer and choreographer who hasn't been able to perform or teach normally, and is suffering unimaginable stress from watching her daughter in pain for the last 2 years.

Con la ayuda de familiares y amigos, Adriana pudo pagar una consulta virtual, después de la cual el médico recomienda un tratamiento en persona. Estoy recaudando dinero para que Adriana pueda llevar a Camila a España para que la trate este médico durante un mes y medio.

Se han probado tratamientos experimentales sin éxito y, en este momento, los médicos en México no nos dan más opciones, excepto fuertes analgésicos, que brindan alivio pero también perjudican aún más la capacidad de Camila para vivir su vida normal.
