Help Cameroonian Refugees

Tax deductible
Nissis Vessels Foundation (NVF) in partnership with Raphas Hands Foundation (RHF) and MECA USA Inc, are co-leading a Medical Mission trip to Nigeria - to reach out to Cameroonian refugees currently residing in refugee camps in Nigeria, after fleeing from their homes, due to the ongoing war in Cameroon. This mission will take place between December 10-15, 2018. Our mission is to serve these children of God to His glory.

The aim of this mission is to provide free medical care (consultations, laboratory services, medications, surgeries etc.) to over 4000 refugees at the camps in Ogoja/Ikom, Nigeria.  The refugees are reported to be suffering from the following diseases: hypertension, hernia, dysentery, diarrhea, asthma, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), pneumonia, teenage and adult pregnancies needing prenatal care, malaria, typhoid, fractured legs, orthopedic cases, depression, gastric ulcers, gun shots, eye problems, dental care etc. At this stage of the planning, God has blessed the effort enormously with over 50 volunteers (Medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, nutritionists, psychologists, pastors etc.) that have pledged to give their time to freely provide medical services to the refugees. We are pumped up and Thank God making His servants available for His mission. The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37-38).

A major component of this mission is the pastoral ministry which will focus on ministering and bringing hope (Jesus Christ) to the refugees, as well as training refugees who will become bible study group leaders within the camp. Bibles (paper and audio) will also be donated to the refugees. Your prayers for this mission and the refugees will be greatly appreciated.

The estimated cost of this mission is $ 40,000 and we are in need of funds - to purchase medications, medical supplies, for transportation, accommodation/feeding of volunteers, feeding of refugees, and bibles for refugees for this one-week campaign.

We are writing to request that you find a place in your heart for these refugees, by donating financially to this cause. This is an opportunity for you and me to be part of what God is doing and how He is taking care of the weak and vulnerable refugees in the camps in Nigeria. Most importantly, we will like to request your prayers for the refugees and the medical mission event. May God bless you as you partner with us in this mission.
