Help BYWA Rebuild

In February of this year, we (Mateusz, Jahmarley, & Baron) left Poland and moved to Lisbon. We closed our restaurant 'BYWA Tasting Room' in hopes to re-open it as Portugal's first Jamaican-Polish Fusion Dining Restaurant.

On May 3, 2021, Monday morning we woke up to our car robbed of all of our personal belongings as well as some of our kitchen equipment. Amongst all things lost were Jahmarley's last remaining items from his mother who passed away in 2001. We are left with only the clothes on our back, our backpacks with computers, and a few things that they were kind enough to leave behind. It’s been a difficult and emotional time for sure.

Regardless of this, we are determined to keep moving forward and hopefully recover some of what was lost. We are both people that struggle with the concept of asking others for help but at this time it is clear that is an absolute must. If you could contribute anything at all to help us get back on our feet and repair our car we would be so grateful!
