Help Buying the Farm my Grandparents started

50656464_1598216196470259_r.jpegMy grandparents bought this as a 20 acre hog and crop farm in the spring of 1946.  By the time they retired my family had built up to 342 acres and transitioned from hogs, to have dairy and beef cattle, and today focusing mainly on crop production.
My grandpa was the first of his family born in America in 1914, his parents and sister's coming from Sweden and my grandma's story is not much different.  My grandparents bought the farm after grandpa returned from WWII and it's where my dad's family was raised.
My aunt and uncle have ran the farm since my grandparents retired and became full owners when they passed.  It's been almost 25 years since and my family's aging well,  but aging none the less.  Nearing they're 80s and having only 1 child with no interest in farming as an adult,  I've been discussing the option of buying the farm.  Development of farm land has driven the cost up to ridiculous prices , where being  90min from Chicago, has 70 acres costing $600,000, because the expectation is someone will develop it into another suburb.
My family's farm is significantly larger and my two daughters love being apart of the life and legacy of this place and I'd like to be able to raise the funds to meet the financing requirements. My grandmother's family has a centennial award for keeping their families farm and I'd like to keep the tradition of 100 years on the farm she built with my grandpa going.
I'm forever grateful for anyone who supports my dreams and helps protect the happiest way of life I know!
