Meet Buttons - he was found sleeping at a bus stop waiting for someone to save him. We stopped to give him some food and were surprised by how sweet he was! He walked right into the cage! He was ready to be saved, but it turns out life has not been kind to him. Buttons sadly tested positive for FIV, which has no cure, but with proper care, he can live a full, healthy life!

Unfortunately, FIV cats are prone to dental issues, such as stomatitis. Basically, his body thinks he is allergic to his own teeth, causing sensitive and bleeding gums. His stomatitis is so severe that he will need a dental specialist to help remove all his teeth. It seems extreme, but he is already eating without chewing, so his quality of life will actually improve! Despite all of this, he remains the biggest love bug. Always ready for a good cuddle session.
