Help Buster Get His Lifesaving Surgery
Donation protected
Our rescue great dane mix, Buster, was getting up for some water late last month (the same day we adopted our new puppy) when he literally fell out of bed and suddenly couldn't walk. A middle-of-the-night trip to the Animal ER turned up a spinal column injury, which he his healing nicely from, but also unexpectedly turned up something much worse on the x-ray: a mass growing on his lung, right next to his heart. Our vet looked at the x-ray in more depth and referred us to a radiologist. Both conferred and agreed that it is operable, but at a steep price. Both of us are currently out of work, and, well, the market ain't great. We've scraped together about $4,000, but are still about $2,500 short, which is where we need your help.
Buster has been with us for a little over five years, and did a better job raising our other dog than we have. In that time, I've worked from home, and he's been my constant office/therapy dog and friend. The vets say that he's otherwise healthy and could go on to lead a full life if we can eclipse this obstacle. I'm not one to ask for help, but, please help.
