"Education is the passport for the future" What is Rockland School? (Arusha, Tanzania) Rockland pre and primary school is an amazing project whose purpose is to end poverty through education. It fosters over 60 children who have no resources and who receive free education, and has a total of 242 students. It’s focused on encouraging pupils into becoming their best selves, both academically and morally. It’s filled with wonderful educators who are fully invested in their work, and they have a whole community supporting and pushing them to learn. The school is molding the young minds that will build a better future for their community. The more support the project has, the more children it can save and the bigger the change the community will receive will be. The money that we raise will be directed to various goals. First of all, to provide the fostered kids a better living situation; right now there are not enough beds nor space for all the children, and all of their other first necessities need to be covered up too. Also, struggles regarding the payment of teachers salaries turn out into a lot of them leaving the school after a few months, which creates an unstable and unsuitable learning environment for students, and an unfair one to them as educators.  Different setbacks the we are currently facing is fulfilling all of the requirements the government asks for in order for them not to take our school down. This includes: buying more ground to create a sports area, separate the teachers and students' bathrooms, adding a teacher break room and a canteen, improving the nursery, etc. Finally, the schools biggest project so far that we need funds for consists on building a three-story building which includes a proper kitchen and eating space, more class space, and proper bedrooms for our fostered students, as well as space for everything mentioned above. We are so grateful for every single donation, it is truly moving to see so many people participating in such a special project. Asante Sana!! Elle vise à encourager les élèves à devenir le meilleur d'eux-mêmes, à la fois académiquement et moralement. Il est rempli de merveilleux éducateurs qui sont pleinement investis dans leur travail, et ils ont toute une communauté qui les soutient et les pousse à apprendre. L'école façonne les jeunes esprits qui construiront un avenir meilleur pour leur communauté. Plus le projet bénéficie de soutien, plus il peut sauver d'enfants et plus grand sera le changement que la communauté recevra. L'argent que nous collectons sera affecté à divers objectifs. Tout d'abord, offrir aux enfants accueillis une meilleure situation de vie ; à l'heure actuelle, il n'y a pas assez de lits ni d'espace pour tous les enfants, et toutes les autres premières nécessités doivent également être couvertes. De plus, les luttes concernant le paiement des salaires des enseignants se traduisent par un grand nombre d'entre eux quittant l'école après quelques mois, ce qui crée un environnement d'apprentissage instable et inadapté pour les étudiants, et injuste pour eux en tant qu'éducateurs. Les différents revers auxquels nous sommes actuellement confrontés remplissent toutes les exigences demandées par le gouvernement afin de ne pas supprimer notre école. Cela comprend : l'achat de plus de terrain pour créer un espace sportif, la séparation des toilettes des professeurs et des élèves, l'ajout d'une salle de pause pour les professeurs et d'une cantine, l'amélioration de la crèche, etc. Enfin, le plus grand projet de l'école à ce jour pour lequel nous avons besoin de fonds consiste à construire un bâtiment de trois étages qui comprend une cuisine et un espace repas appropriés, plus d'espace pour les classes et des chambres appropriées pour nos étudiants placés, ainsi que de l'espace pour tout ce qui est mentionné ci-dessus . Quanto mais apoio o projeto tiver, mais crianças ele poderá economizar e maior será a mudança que a comunidade receberá. O dinheiro que arrecadarmos será direcionado para diversos objetivos.
