Our mission at WNY Challenger is for everyone to experience the fun of competition where everyone wins! Players have buddies to assist, cheer, and celebrate achievements with them. Throughout the year, parties and socials complement the sports activities. Challenger Sports League Inc. is a safe and happy place for individuals of all ages, with varying disabilities, to experience the joy of athletic participation at a level within everyone’s capabilities.
A wheelchair-accessible baseball diamond would enable WNY Challenger to create a safe space for individuals in wheelchairs or with other mobility impairments to participate in our baseball program.
We are looking to secure funding to develop our recently purchased property at 6520 Lincoln Avenue, on the grounds, but separate of Allie Brandt Bowling Center. The goal of this funding would support our vision to build a Rubberized Wheelchair Accessible Baseball field, which would support many of our special needs players. The establishment of a designated baseball field will increase community awareness of the existing WNY Challenger programming and subsequently increase opportunities for growth and funding. There are minimal opportunities in Niagara County for individuals with special needs.
