<div>We live in a small yet beautiful resort community and college town called Boone in North Carolina. Our masjid’s prayer area is just 500 square feet—smaller than many kitchens. Despite its modest size, it serves as a vital part of our community, offering prayer services and Halal meat, which would otherwise require a 3–4 hour round trip to access. The nearest masjid is a 2.5–3 hour round trip, making our center indispensable for local Muslims.

<div>Our gatherings have been graced by local faith leaders, university directors, and the chiefs of the police and fire departments. Both local university students and faculty find our masjid to be a space where they can experience peace, worship, and connect with other local families. Additionally, our Islamic Center has been featured in both local and international media, with links shared below. We are also honored to have been gifted a 1951 English translation of the Quran by a local non-Muslim friend—a treasured heirloom that had been in her family for generations.

<div>Unfortunately, while most members of our community are able to attend, a separate group of about 50 individuals, including men,

<div>women and children, cannot join us due to our limited space. One family, whose son has autism, is also unable to participate comfortably because the current space cannot accommodate their needs. Furthermore, the number of Muslim students has also increased over time and given our small rental space we are unfortunately falling short of our goal to be a truly inclusive and welcoming space for everyone.

<div>Recently, a retired doctor’s office nearby has become available for purchase at approximately $1 million. This space represents a transformative opportunity for our community. We need your help to raise $650,000 to make this vision a reality.
