At Sri Purwaramaya Temple in Dorala, Batapola, 391 children attend Sunday school (Daham Pasala) every week.
However, they currently study without a proper classroom, exposed to harsh sunlight and rain.
This sacred temple supports two entire village divisions (Grama Seva Wasama):
75-G Dorala: 470 families
75-K Kondagala: 468 families
In addition, around 120 devoted elders observe Sil and meditate during Poya days, often sharing the same open space.
We are raising funds to build two permanent classrooms to provide these children a safe, respectful space to learn and grow.
Right now, their education continues despite the weather, sitting outside with no roof over their heads.
Your contribution, big or small, will help protect and uplift the future of these young learners.
Let’s build not just walls, but a brighter future.
