Help Build a Christian School in Madagascar

Back in 2007, my wife went on a missions trip to Madagascar. She and her church team helped build up a "Youth With a Mission" (YWAM) base under the leadership of Setra and Mirana, a Christian couple from Madagascar who have been missionaries there since 2002.

Since then, their ministries have grown and grown by the power of the Holy Spirit, to include leading YWAM Discipleship Training Schools, an Unreached Peoples outreach in-country, a families ministry, a community service outreach, and, of course, a school!

In 2016, Setra and Mirana felt called to open a grade school for their community, and in 2017 they applied and received a permit to open MIKOLO NY AINA, a primary and secondary school that means "Caring for the Soul." Opened with just a couple dozen students and a handful of teachers, MOKOLO NY AINA now serves over 120 students with 20 teachers!

God's really blessed their work there. They feed mind, body, and soul through holistic education, growing character and spirit as they teach academics and life skills. God's given them a great vision for the future of the school as well - making it a K-12 school with permanent buildings on purchased land.

For now, they're renting the land they're YWAM base is on and building semi-permanent classrooms from lumber. These classrooms will allow all the students to study indoors with some room for growth. They are also designed to be deconstructed, relocated, and rebuilt on land they hope to purchase in coming years.

$10,000 will build 4 classrooms to help them achieve this dream.
