New York City and beyond: A devastating fire on September 17, 2025, destroyed our historic Redbook building and the woodworking studio that had been our home for over 25 years. Led by David Benedek, a Red Hook community member for more than 40 years, the studio employs skilled local artisans and creates custom woodwork for homes throughout the tri-state area.

We’re asking for your help to provide relief to our team, rebuild the studio, replace essential tools, and continue our Brooklyn legacy. All donations will go directly to supporting employees and restoring our local business.

Please consider contributing to our GoFundMe page or forwarding this to others. Your assistance will help us through this crisis. We will have a temporary space set up shortly, and we’ll be able to take on new projects. Involving us in new opportunities is another thoughtful way to help us maintain our local legacy.

We are deeply grateful for your support.
