Help Bruce Mpofu

Donation protected

Bruce came to the UK from Zimbabwe when he was 9 years old with his mother, who works with vulnerable women for the NHS.

Unfortunately, when he was 15 years old he got in with the wrong crowd and committed a crime which meant he was in breach of his immigration.

Since then he has surrounded himself with good friends and has been a member of Wibsey Rugby Club for many years.

He has had to go to regular meetings for immigration purposes. On 8th July he attended what he thought was a routine meeting, only to be told he was being detained and would be sent 'back' to Zimbabwe. This could happen in less than a week.

The majority of his life, he has lived here. He has no family or friends in Zimbabwe; they are all in the UK.

Whilst he made a mistake as a minor, he has nothing but been an upstanding citizen since and the decision from the Home Office seems cruel and unjust.

We are hoping to raise money to fund legal representation for Bruce, and if the worst comes to the worst, any money raised will help him with living costs in what will be a foreign country to him. Any donation that you can afford would be amazing and would go a long way.
