Brooke has experienced a heartbreaking loss and cascading financial strain. Three months ago, Brooke’ s beloved partner passed away. Valerie was meant to be Brooke’s loving caretaker during recovery and her loss has left not only a deep grief but also financial devastation. The savings Brooke had carefully set aside for surgery were used to honor Valerie’s life and solely support themselves in the midst of their grief.

Despite working tirelessly, saving ahead, applying for grants, and reaching out to organizations, Brooke has exhausted every possible resource.
