Help Brooke Heal!

Brooke Blackburn had a 5 hour emergency aortic dissection surgery on Saturday, December 10th. Her son Austin called 911 which saved her life. If he wouldn’t have called in the timely manner that he did, Brooke would not be with us today.  It was a life and death situation and we are so grateful to still have her! Her chest was opened and her heart and lungs on a bypass machine. This type of surgery requires a long and difficult road of recovery, with months of possible therapy, doctor’s visits and months off work.

She recently got a new job that she loves, however, she was still in the process of obtaining health insurance and benefits. Now she must heal during a time of limited funds to pay for bills (while off work with no pay) and medical bills (with no insurance).

While she is recovering it is essential that her stress level stays down, blood pressure low, and anxiety at a minimum. This is crucial to keep her heart functioning at a healthy level. I know we all understand what it feels like to be financially stressed – we are hoping this account will help ease some of that burden for her and allow her to heal faster and safely. Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated. The money will go directly to her.

We look forward to seeing Brooke’s love, generosity, and selflessness come full circle back to her during such a difficult time in her life. During the holidays, especially, I know this will mean the world to her.
