Help Britt win her Lymphoma fight

Hey guys.

We are starting up this page in support of our little sister/sister in law Britt who is 20, turning 21 next month.

A little over a week ago now her life changed when she was carried into the emergency room with large lumps on her neck. She could not walk and she was naturally scared.

Within hours after first appearing in emergency she was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system which is used as the body's method of fighting diseases.

Doctors also found a fracture at the top of her spine. The tumours were obvious and restricting movement in her neck, her arms and made her generally feel weak everywhere. There were tumours in and around her neck, under her arms and a tumour lodged in the break of her spine.

She has undergone surgery to remove tumours and also have some of her reproductive organs taken to ensure that she will still be able to have babies after the treatment.

Britt has been sitting in hospital for the last week in a bed not being able to sit up any higher than a 30 degree angle.

We have recently found out that she has  Hodgkins Lymphoma and she is now beginning her treatment, chemotherapy, to try and cure it and get her back to full health.

The doctor's feel the best course of action to get her back on her feet and mobile again is physiotherapy so she is doing physio in the hospital whilst undergoing her treatment for the lymphoma.

Unfortunately, as well as medical costs now starting to take form, the car that her and her partner use to get around and support the household broke down just a few days after Britt went into the hospital. They have a dog at home who is struggling with separation anxiety and they are limited in their options for transport.

It's a very stressful time for her and while close family are doing all we can we were hoping to cast the web and see if we could get some help to cover costs of treatment, transport and the procedures to help with fertility after treatment primarily.

We would appreciate anything that anybody could spare and if you can't spare anything then just sharing the page to get the word out there would be amazing.

We don't expect anything and if all you can offer is a nice message or some encouragement for Britt that would be great. She needs all the positivity she can get and we would all be very thankful for anything that we can get to help Britt get back on her feet.
